Description
The LA 2005 module is a light weight and compact line array module and either available as a self-powered (SP) or as a bi-amplification system. This system is designed for medium throw applications for speech & music reinforcement and reproduction.
The system is based on two low-mid 5 inch transducers with a 25 mm voice coil and a one inch neodymium compression driver mounted on waveguide which is coupled to a conical horn with a nominal horizontal dispersion pattern of 90 degrees. The enclosure is of trapezoidal shape and constructed on 15 mm Finnish birch plywood glued together in conjunction with dado joints to assure the highest quality of robustness. The aluminium rigging structure with its integrated quick release system allows building-up the line array quickly and comfortably. Each module can be angled in 1 degree increment by maximum 10 degrees. The passive modules are interconnected by using 4 pole Speakon® male connectors. The active version is powered by a class-D amplifier with more than 500 Watts. Neutrik Powercon® connectors assure reliable electrical power supply among the modules. The black textured semi-matt paint makes the enclosure water repellent.For music reinforcement it is recommended to extend the low frequency range with subwoofers such as the front loaded horn system LF H1018, LF H1021 or LF H1024.
