Description
The LF R1018 is a vented subwoofer with two large vents of medium size. This system is designed to extend the low frequency range of near field to short throw full range and mid-high frequency loudspeaker systems.
The system is based on an 18 inch low frequency transducer with a 100 mm voice coil in a bass reflex enclosure. Two large vents assure that no audible distortion occurs due to turbulences at high levels. The enclosure is manufactured with 15 mm Finnish birch plywood glued together in conjunction with dado joints to assure the highest quality of robustness. The black textured semi-matt paint makes the enclosure water repellent. The drivers are protected by an aluminium grid with octagonal holes, designed for maximal strength and acoustical transparency. The removable foam attached to the grille protects the driver from splash water and dust. Two Speakon® male connectors assure reliable electrical connections and the possibility to feed the signal through the system. The flush embedded top hat on the top side of the cabinet can be used to mount a tripod for mid-high frequency loudspeakers. Two large metal pocket bar handles assure comfortable portability.
