Description
The hybrid low frequency system LF HR1024 combines the advantages of a vented
with a horn system at very compact dimensions. The system is designed to extend
the low frequency range of medium throw full range or mid-high frequency loudspeaker
systems. The system is based on a 24 inch low frequency driver integrated
in a vented cabinet and loaded with a short horn on the front side. This system
matches thanks to the size and the linear excursion of its diaphragm at least
the performance of two 18” bass reflex systems. Two large vents assure
that no audible distortions occur due to turbulences at high levels. The enforced
enclosure is manufactured with 15 mm Finnish birch plywood glued together
in conjunction with dado joints to assure the highest quality of robustness.
The drover is protected by an aluminium grid with octagonal holes, designed
for maximal strength and acoustical transparency. The removable foam attached
to the grid protects the system from splash water and dust. The black textured
semi-matt paint makes the enclosure water repellent. Two Speakon® male
connectors assure reliable electrical connections and the possibility to feed
the signal through the system. The flush embedded top hat on the top side
of the cabinet can be used to mount a tripod for mid-high frequency loudspeakers.
Two large recessed steel bar handles and wheels mounted on the rear panel
assure comfortable carriage.
